A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §7-1-3pp, relating to authorizing certain counties to levy on ski lift tickets for funding local emergency medical services.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
    That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §7-1-3pp, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. COUNTY COMMISSIONS GENERALLY.
§7-1-3pp. Levy on lift tickets for funding local emergency medical services.
    The county commission in any county in which is located a ski facility is authorized without limiting any other levying authority the county may have, to levy a $1 charge on each ski lift ticket. The revenue from the levy shall be directed to funding local emergency medical services.


    NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize any county in which a ski resort is located to levy a $1 charge on each ski lift ticket to benefit local emergency medical services.
